Professional Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor in the state of Illinois with a private practice based in Chicago. I graduated from DePaul University in 1998 with a Masters in Counseling. As a clinician I have worked in hospital settings, counseling clinics and private practice. I worked for three years at Grant hospital as a dual diagnosis therapist in both the psychiatric in-patient and out-patient programs. I gained experience there working with clients age sixteen and up suffering with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenic disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse and other DSM-IV diagnosis. I worked at the Holbrook Counseling center for seven years. In this setting I provided individual and couples therapy to clients from various cultures and backgrounds. I began my private practice in Jan. 2006. I provide cognitive behavioral therapy to adult individuals and couples who are experiencing a variety of psychosocial difficulties. My specialties include: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and couples counseling.
